![]() They've always failed to meet my expectation. I've tried iDrive 3-4 times in the last 15 years, always because of price and some "new service" marketing ploy. Much depends on what & how much you need to store in the cloud as well as how you intend to use it, I need reliable object-based cloud storage to serve as the last resort of a comprehensive 3-2-1 backup strategy. So what’s so bad about it? As honestly it seems to have everything I want. Thing is I need more than one device (backblaze can’t offer this to me within my budget) and the sync feature to be able to sync local files and share them with ppl much like Dropbox is a feature I loved also. And the 95% off the first year! I was honestly seconds away from buying a year of Idrive before reading this post. The BB ethos is that you shouldn't have to think about what you back up, but they overshot on this one.Īnyway, BB gets my vote, if only because CP's upload is so terrible. ![]() You can define a list of folder paths to exclude, but they're not specific to any one drive. Slower, more space and overhead to extract.
